Cucumbers with Nutella – do pregnant women really eat that?
Indeed, pregnancy cravings can be very diverse and sometimes unusual. Combining cucumbers with Nutella may seem odd at first glance, but it is common knowledge that pregnant women sometimes have specific and unexpected preferences. These cravings can range from salty to sweet, sour to bitter, and combinations that would not be considered outside of pregnancy. During pregnancy, women undergo significant hormonal changes that can affect their sense of smell and taste. This can lead to specific cravings for certain foods or food combinations. Most importantly, all these unique cravings are okay and may be indulged in. Pregnant women sometimes instinctively know what their body needs. Even if seemingly strange combinations are enjoyed during pregnancy, these preferences usually fade after childbirth. Many pregnant women have no change in food preferences – which is also okay.
